    Age: 63

Career:
After completing his secondary education, Robert Hunt began training as a young engineering officer. He excelled at his engineering exams while scraping by in most other areas. In spite of this, his ancestral connection to James Hunt made him an obvious candidate for command. At thirty-five years old, by which time he'd worked his way up to Assistant Chief Engineer, he was transferred to the command department and began working under then Captain Samuel Cruz.

Shortly after Hunt's forty-fourth birthday, Captain Cruz suffered from a debilitating stroke, thrusting Hunt into the Captain's Chair. Though reluctant, he took temporary command until Cruz's official retirement eight months later. Samuel Cruz never completely recovered from the stroke and died just weeks after his retirement.

Family:
Robert Hunt married Elizabeth Tallis, his school sweetheart, at twenty-one years old. Though Elizabeth's family embraced the match, Robert's family attempted to separate the pair several times over the years due to her status as a fourth generation embryotic. (Note: after three generations, a person was generally considered neither embryotic nor ancestral)

Elizabeth became pregnant almost immediately, giving birth to a son. Darius showed an early inclination toward speed and risk, often erecting large playscapes in empty cargo holds so that he could fly down the surfaces. He broke four different bones by his sixth birthday. Whether overwhelmed by their son or purposely waiting, Elizabeth didn't get pregnant again until Darius was five. To her delight, she gave birth to a girl, who they named Kieran. Darius embraced his sister and began including her in his schemes almost as soon as she could walk. The pair were nearly inseparable up until Darius began training to become a pilot.

One of acting Captain Hunt's first big decisions involved ordering his son on an escort mining mission while an enemy fleet has been detected in the area. Darius, and all the miners, were killed during the mission. Elizabeth, distraught by her son's death, never quite forgave her husband for giving the order. On the one year anniversary of his death, she committed suicide in their shared quarters.

Kieran, barely sixteen at the time of her brother's death, forgave her father. She understood that flying had been Darius's passion and his position came with certain risks. As her mother grew more forlorn and her father threw himself into his new position as commanding officer, Kieran was left to care for herself. Following her mother's suicide, Kieran found living on Unity more and more difficult. Nearly four years after Darius's death, now twenty, she said goodbye to her father and remained behind on a sprawling space port as Unity flew on.

Allegiances:
In spite of his family's lineage and occasional prejudice, Robert recognized the injustice of the Council's rules regarding embryotics and Quuvarii descendants. He campaigned often for them, sometimes quietly and sometimes more vocally. He championed Freya Ryan's application for medical training, butting heads with Doctor Harold Finn for months before he agreed to take her on as a student. During the Sons of Liberty rebellion, Captain Hunt aided the rebellion by intentionally misdirecting security teams and quietly sabotaging scanning systems that might detect their presence deep within the ship.
