Career:
Ash was assigned as a cook's assistant during his secondary education. In addition to preparing simple meals for the mess hall, he was tasked with retrieving and maintaining the herbs and vegetables in the hydroponics bay.

During the rebellion he elevated from general errand boy/grunt to medic as Freya Ryan trained him to help her in the hospital. He followed orders well and learned quickly but did not show a strong aptitude toward medicine.

Following the rebellion, and after a period of idleness, Ash volunteered for the newly reformed fighter squadron training. He is currently in training.

Family and Relationships:
Due to early loss of his mother and complete disinterest on the part of his father, Ash has been on his own since his early teens. He works hard to complete his studies and still work enough to support himself.

His cousin, Lana Swanson, was one Meng's closest friends prior to the rebellion and is responsible for bringing him into the Sons of Liberty - against Meng's initial judgement.

Allegiances:
Though a member of the Sons of Liberty, Ash saw very little true battle. Meng kept him busy in the back to protect him from harm and assigned him to Freya before Brandon Garrett could insist on using him on the front lines. He did, however, see the aftermath of battle in the hospital and was one of the only witnesses to Andrea Kawolski's death at the hands of Julian Ice.
