Andrea Kawolski Biography

*Reading main character crew biographies may contains story spoilers.*

    Rank: Lieutenant

    Primary duty: Engineering Officer

    Ancestral link: Arizona Kawolski, Engineer

Age: 28 (at time of death)

    Status: Deceased

Career:
Early indicators suggested she'd excel in a technical field. Her teach, Mrs. Hunt, recognized this inclination and fostered it through assignments and lessons. Her acceptance into the Engineering department was practically guaranteed but she worked hard for it anyway, impressing Chief Engineer Dexter.

Within a year, she was the one most of the engineers sought out for advice, though this may be in part due to Dex's famous temper. She rose to the become Dex's right hand within five years and was the presumed "heir apparent"if and when Dex retired.

Family and Relationships:
As a direct descendant of Arizona Kawolski, Andrea enjoyed all the privileges and luxuries that came to the ancestral children. Her parents strove to teach her tolerance and acceptance though, and reprimanded her severely the first time she said something unkind based solely on a person's status. She learned quickly and was the first to befriend Freya Ryan when she joined their primary classroom. Their friendship continued and grew over the years and it was Andy's confidence and encouragement that drove Freya to apply for a position in the Medical Ward.

Allegiances:
Though she remained on duty after the initial strike began, Kawolski supported the Sons of Liberty's cause. She often argued with Dex, trying to sooth his ruffled feathers, and remind him of the prejudice the embryotics and Quuvarii face on a daily basis.

Following her death, Lady Ice attempted to use Kawolski as a fine example of ancestral breeding. This enraged Freya, who knew that her best friend would never consider herself a Loyalist.

Death:
While attempting to delivery a mysterious message to Captain Robert Hunt, Kawolski was shot and killed on the main deck of Unity. Freya and Hunt witnessed her being shot but did not see the shooter, who was tucked into an access alley, Ash Swanson, who'd been sent to guard Freya, and two other Sons of Liberty members, witnessed Julian Ice in the shadows. He has not been charged with her death - though he was questioned by Commander Aribeth Bonwick.
